After three working months in office Labour in Northumberland have launched a new web County Council site that includes a much greater element of tourism in our 'What to do in Northumberland pages'.

Councillor Val Tyler the Councils Policy Board member for Community Infrastructure and Culture has been traveling around the County asking Community Groups and Parish Councillors to make the most of our new information pages and ensure they engage with 'What to do in Northumberland'

She said "Tourism is one of our largest industries here in Northumberland and its a fabulous place to both relax or holiday in, its within easy traveling distance and close enough to the Tyne and Wear conurbation and Edinburgh to be on everyones day out list all year round, but we must ensure that list is comprehensive and harvests in all of our events and features, from castles and stately homes to markets, beaches and village hall fete's. Its now easy to get in touch and contact our communication team on 01670 622412"
